Originating in the early 2010s, NNN gained heavy popularity on multiple social media platforms, especially Twitter and Reddit.
But why ejaculation? And why November?
Various handles on social media explain that NNN is a display of willpower, and strength of mind, which took inspiration from the act of refusing to shave in November
Another fact is people are using No Nut November to raise money for prostate cancer, which is one of the few reasons why the trend doesn’t endure much backlash. It is also a straight get-in, that is, if you publicly complete the challenge, into the NoFap community on Reddit, a group of people who do not masturbate, ever. The community is allegedly made up of people dealing with sex addiction, that is, besides the few who just have a preference.

Believe it or not, scientists and doctors urge everyone to not take part in NNN, the few that are aware of it in the first place that is.
Why do you ask? Studies and surveys taken show how masturbation plays an important role in reducing one’s anxiety and has multiple mental health benefits.
However, if you feel taking up NNN is on your side, healthwise, or due to other reasons, it is quite harmless at the end of the day, but it is recommended to consult one’s GP before taking up a supposedly-ironic trend.
